Mehiar is an Associate at Shahid Law Firm’s International Business Law department. He focuses on corporate and M&A matters, his experience involves providing legal opinions, reviewing and amending articles of incorporation, by-laws, commercial contracts, Memorandum of Understanding and Shareholders Agreements, setting up companies and branch offices in Egypt, organizing board and shareholders’ meetings, drafting minutes and handling corporate secretarial work, conducting legal due diligence as well as conducting legal research on various legal matters.

Mehiar holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Management from the French University in Egypt and Nantes University in France and  L.L.B. from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt.

Deals/Highlights 

• Assisting EDF EN, Elsewedy Electric, Scatec Solar and Voltalia in achieving financial closure under Round 2 of the Egyptian Feed-In Tariff program with a total capacity of 425MWac.
• Assisting Access Power, Acciona Energia with Swicorp, Indevco and TAQA in connection with corporate and structuring under Round 2 of the Egyptian Feed-In Tariff program aspects with a total capacity of 350MWac.
• Representing ADM International Sarl in its acquisition of up to 100% of the share capital of the National Company for Maize products, and handling all communications with the relevant competent authorities.
• Representing a major multinational corporation with respect to its product recall procedures in the Egyptian Market.
• Representing Scatec Solar Solutions Egypt, a Scatec Solar subsidiary with respect to its registration with the Egyptian Federation for Construction and Building Contractors.
