Shahid Law Firm is proud to have acted as local legal adviser to Scatec Solar on their USD335 million project financing, which has won the Islamic Finance News (IFN) Egypt Deal of the Year 2017.
Donia El-Mazghouny, has acted as lead partner from our side on the deal, which involved advising the listed Norwegian integrated solar power developer on six PV projects being developed in Benban (Aswan) under Round 2 of the Egyptian Feed-In Tariff programme, and has, alongside the Scatec Solar, Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) and Eversheds Sutherland teams present at the IFN Awards Dinner ceremony held in Dubai on Sunday, 11 March 2018, picked the award.
