Venture by Shahid (the startup arm of Shahid Law Firm) is proud to represent Queen’s Gambit Growth Capital in a business combination with Swvl, a Transformative Mass Transit Platform.
Swvl is expected to be the first $1bn plus unicorn from the Middle East to list on Nasdaq and only tech-enabled mass transit solutions company to list on any stock exchange, with an implied, fully diluted equity value of approximately $1.5 billion.
The transaction was overall led by partner Rehan El-Bashary (the head of Venture by Shahid) and associate Abdullah Fahmy, the litigation team headed by Managing Partner Girgis Abd El-Shahid with associate Salma Nasreldine, the labor and employment team headed by Partner Rasha Maurice with associates Mostafa El Ganzouri and Catherine Abdelchahid, and TMT team headed by partner Tarek Badawy with Senior associate Salma Abdelaziz.
