Shahid Law Firm helps CAF Secure Emergency Arbitration Victory

Shahid Law Firm is proud to have successfully defended the Confederation of African Football (CAF) against Lagardère Sports (Lagardère) in ICC Emergency Arbitration proceedings initiated by Lagardère in connection with the termination of a US$ 1 Billion contract for the commercial exploitation of CAF Competitions. On 13 December 2019, the ICC Emergency Arbitrator dismissed Lagardère’s application in its entirety. CAF was represented by Cairo-based Shahid Law Firm Partner Tarek Badawy and Senior Associate Salma Abdelaziz, Geneva-based Antonio Rigozzi, and Brussels-based Denis Waelbroeck and Donald Slater.
