Shahid Law Firm is pleased to announce that Rehan El-Bashary rejoined the firm as of September 1, 2018 as Managing Associate.
Rehan has 10 years of experience in joint ventures, M&As, cross-border transactions, divestures, creating and vetting corporate structures and restructurings. Throughout her career, she gained experience in perfecting corporate governance and best practices for multinational operations in the various industries she was exposed to.
Prior to re-joining Shahid Law Firm, Rehan worked as a Legal Affairs Manager at Gemini Egypt Holding for Financial Investments, a Sawiris Family Office Company, where she had advised different private sector entities in both local and international markets.
Her recent experience includes handling high-profile transactions in the financial services, real-estate development and tourism sectors; particularly, advising on the landmark sale of 80% stake in Egypt’s leading microfinance institution: Microfinance Enterprise Services (Reefy) to leading Egyptian investment bank CI Capital. Rehan also advised on the acquisition of the majority stake in M.M. Makronisos Marina Ltd, a company which holds the concession for the development of the marina in the Ayia Napa area in Cyprus; and had assisted as well in the restructuring and consolidation of Gemini’s ownership in Elite Estates, the owner of a luxurious real estate project in Pakistan.
