The Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA), under the authority of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, opened today, Sunday, 15 January 2017, invitations for international mineral exploration and exploitation companies for the INTERNATIONAL BID ROUND No. (1) of the Year 2017 for the exploration and exploitation of gold and associated minerals in Egypt. This Bid Round, the first since 2009, includes five (5) exploration blocks located in the Eastern Desert (Bokari, Umm Ud and Hangaliya, Umm El Rus, Umm Samra, and Sinai (South West Dahab City South Sinai) in Egypt.
