Mohamed joined Shahid Law Firm’s corporate practice in 2010 and as of January 2019, he has been promoted as a senior associate.

Since joining the firm, Mohamed has been representing clients in setting up companies, branch and representative offices in Egypt, organizing board and shareholders’ meetings and handling all necessary procedures and communication with the competent authorities with respect to corporate resolutions ratification.

Furthermore, Mohamed has been assisting in corporate restructuring, mergers and capital increase mandates. Mohamed also usually advises corporations on best law practices with respect to governing laws and regulations; and is also a certified professional patent attorney.

Mohamed holds an L.L.B. from Banha University, Egypt, and a double diploma in Commercial Law and in International Investment Law from Banha University, Egypt.

Deals/Highlights 

  • Assisting EDF EN, Scatec Solar and Voltalia in achieving financial closure under Round 2 of the Egyptian Feed-In Tariff program with a total capacity of 425MWac, with respect to their corporate resolutions ratification and other relevant permits;
  • Assisting manufacturing and renewable energy companies with respect to their incorporation and capital increase procedures;
  • Representing manufacturing and industrial companies in their corporate restructuring procedures including but not limited to mergers and acquisitions procedures;
  • Representing leisure and tourism companies in obtaining various activity related permits from the Ministry of Tourism and from other relevant authorities; and
  • Representing manufacturing, pharmaceutical and renewable energy with respect to transfer of shares procedures and financial instruments registration before MCDR.
